I'm hoooooooooooooooooooooooooome!! Flew in last night (drama with missing scheduled flight, but got transfer to last one to Stansted) and now I am HOME in MK with my FAMILY and the DOGS and it is awesome ... despite said dogs piddling all over everything. YAY HOME.

Supposedly I get to drive the non-power-steering car on the English side of the road all the way to the woods today. Eep! Let's hope I don't drift across the central divide ...

Not just yet. I got another 6 weeks to work in Switzerland, and then after that I am coming home for about 7 months.

How's Italy? Are you sick of pasta yet?

7 months? Where are you jetting off to next?

Milan is amazing! I'm loving it out here - nothing better then being young, free and in Italy.

On the food front, it's been five weeks and many, many, many portions of pasta and pizza later and I still haven't tired of it. There are just so many different varieties of pasta and pizza base-esque creations your taste buds will never get bored. There literally is no combination of pizza toppings/ice cream flavours Italians haven't tried - salami and spinach pizza, anyone?

I remember getting very sick of paninis, and being shocked that their white bread was like bleached cardboard. But I was in Rome, so Milan is probably totally different.

Next stop (in 7 months) will hopefully be Japan. Am applying to the JET scheme this month. Wish me luck!

I haven't actually tried their white bread, yet. But, I've had some brown bread that was perfectly nice. Albeit, tiny when compared to Britsh loaves.

A weekend trip to Rome is definately on the itenary list (once the mid term exams are over XP). Did you ever go to a bar during "happy hour", when you were there? Italian buffet + cocktail = lush.

Japan, wow! Good luck with applying! By the end of all your travelling, you need to write a book on "Travel for Students, Gappers and Graduates".

Rome is amazing. I would love to live there for a little bit (it could happen! Who knows?). Never went for happy hour though. I feel I have missed out on a necessary Italian experience. Excuse to return!

Or: "How to Grossly Indebt Yourself by Refusing to Conform to Societal Norms (ie. Remaining A Shiftless Bum)". It has a certain ring to it.

*glompage* What're you doing next weekend, hon? I'm going to be in London at the Expo convention if you want to meet up :) given that we've known each other for what... six years? And haven't met up yet? *G*

WELCOME BACK!

I considered doing some sort of doggy action, but considering what you said about the puppies piddling over everything, I think I'll pass.

Tried to ring today! Don't tell me you forgot your mobile phone! XD

Speaking of weak bladders, I had to get up in the middle of the night and visit the bathroom. Was very odd. Considering I have the bladder of a camel and only need to pee twice a day.
