I liked the Gwen/Arthur scene. It felt slightly forced but it was so cute. And you know, shirtless Arthur.
Re: Merlin. I can see it. I don't like fanon!Merlin where he's all innocent and goody good. Cause he's not. He's killed in canon and he's used his magic to kill. And it's not like we've seen him cry over it.
And the Dragon, well, Merlin's trusted it about all his problems and moral dilemas. He's trusted it'd guide him through his destiny and all that shit and suddenly he sees oh so clear, when his mother is dying as a direct consequence of its advice, that the Dragon (apparently) only had its own interests in mind. He feels betrayed and I get that.
Also, I get why he blew up Nimueh. Arthur, Hunitrh and Gaius? That was just too much, I suppose.
