I am so angry right now

Today at work, whilst balancing precariously on a stool to string up bunting for the royal wedding tomorrow, I was sexually harassed by one of our regulars. It was playful, he didn't mean anything by it, but I told him in a firm voice not to touch me again.

He got thrown out because he started calling me a "stupid fucking mare".

Why do people suck so hard?

Doesn't matter if he didn't mean anything by it or not, if you didn't want to be touched that way, he had no right to do it.

Oh believe me, I know he had no right. What annoys me most, perhaps, is that though my colleagues rallied - the manager threw him out no question, the girl with me was practically spitting at the guy in question - no one seemed to realise exactly HOW BAD IT IS that he even thought he could do it. I was standing on a stool, working. He wouldn't have done it in the street? Why did he think he had the right to do it in the pub? The girl mentioned above was actually more angry that the manager told her for being excessively aggressive when it's his job to remove customers, so even someone who might have been sympathetic was concerned with her own problem.

Rargh.

UGH. I am so, so sorry that you had to go through that, not just the initial shit but everything that came thereafter. At least you didn't do what I do, which is dump the nearest liquid on the offendor and then start shrieking. But that sucks so much, and I hope they don't let him back in for a good long while, if ever.

I was stood 4 feet off the floor, so there wasn't a great deal I could do to defend myself without falling a long way down. Oh well.

He'll probably be back in tonight. Blaaagh.
