Will work for chocolate

I'm moving back to the UK this December in the hopes of being able to pick up a job or three and put aside some cash. Despite the financial crunch - and the fact that nearly 2 million Brits are out of work - I'm fairly hopeful that I can find some kind of office temp work or picking&packing, or something. If not?

Well, this is just a heads up to those who need to know - I'll be moving to South Korea.

(NaNo is going so not-well. Haven't written anything today. Hahaha, I need to get utterly slaughtered this weekend and write through the night.)

Ooo! It would be totally cool to overlap. I still plan on going to Japan for more than a 2-week tourist trip, so we might end up over there at the same time anyway. When do you graduate?

South Korea has a kind of open-door policy for English teachers. But, because I am lazy, I will probably apply through i-to-i, as they'll have schools on the books that have been previously vetted, and offer assistance with visas. S.K kind of embodies the best and worst qualities of SE Asia (speaking as someone who's never been ...), so I don't anticipate problems getting into the country, but it'll be nice having i-to-i available for any trouble that occurs when I'm there.

And considering how many businesses are cutting jobs in teh UK, it's looking more and more liekly that I'll be out there for the fall next year. Gaah.

(Also, you are totally welcome to crash wherever I'm staying that happens to be my place (ie. not Switzerland, cos I live on the jobsite, but S.K is totally on the cards)).

Hopefully this summer, basically June I'll be free I think so what I'll do is maybe start applications as soon as I'm done with my dissertation.

Yeah I know what you mean, going through a company means you can fallback on them for sorting out official things with the govt and stuff you just don't want to handle alone.

I think with Japan it's competitive but I'm banking on my language skill and personality to get me on board. Basically I haven't found much success with jobs atm and I just want a change of scenery.

(I will totally keep you in mind once I'm over there haha)
